Education
We encourage our staff to extend PSM’s practice through further education and research in geotechnical engineering, rock mechanics and engineering geology.
Senior PSM staff teach in the Masters programs at University of New South Wales (UNSW) in the School of Geotechnical and Environmental Engineering and the School of Mining Engineering.
Our senior staff have also taught courses at the University of Adelaide, the Australian Centre for Geomechanics (WA), and the University of Sydney.
PSM has established two lectureships:
- PSM Senior Lecturer of Rock Mechanics at UNSW. This position is occupied by Dr Kurt Douglas
- The PSM Senior Lecturer of Engineering Geology in the Department of Geological Sciences of the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand. This position is occupied by Dr Clark Fenton
