MICHAEL HABTE

Principal Geotechnical Engineer at PSM, Michael Habte has over 20 years’ experience in geotechnical research and consultancy. He has extensive experience in geotechnical investigation, and design of large infrastructure projects . His primary area of practice includes 2D and 3D numerical modelling, soil and rock laboratory testing and data interpretation. Michael has worked on various types of projects in the civil, tunnelling and mining disciplines in Australia, Africa, India and Indonesia.

Michael has worked on numerous projects from short-term to large-scale operations. He has a particular passion for 2D and 3D modelling, and analysis and review.

Michael has co-authored over 15 technical papers in journals and international conferences on topics in his area of expertise. He is a member of the Australian Geomechanics society.
