Principal Geotechnical Engineer at PSM with over 13 years of experience working across numerous civil, mining, tunnelling and underground projects in Australia. He has worked from design phase right through to construction supervision on several tunnelling projects in Sydney, validating design assumptions with geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring. Ronald’s main areas of practice include tunnel design and construction, site investigations, foundation and retaining structures engineering. His major tunnelling project involvement includes Lane Cove Tunnel, Airport Link, M2 Tunnel Expansion, Wynyard Walk Tunnel, Westconnex – M4East.
Recently Ronald was PSM’s geotechnical Construction Phase Services (CPS) Lead for the Sydney Metro City & Southwest project which involves a new 15.5 km twin-tunnel rail crossing under Sydney Harbour from Chatswood through the city to Sydenham. He is currently one of PSM’s Tunnel Design Leads working on Brisbane’s Cross River Rail Project.
Ronald is a member of the Australian Geomechanics Society (AGS) and the Institution of Engineers Australia (IEAust).
Ronald has published several technical papers on tunnelling and presented at the Australasian Tunnelling Conference. He is on the National Engineering Register (NER) and is also a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) in the fields of civil and structural engineering.
